• Make an exit – Make a funnel out of a fine wire mesh or a sheet of metal. Attach this funnel to the remaining hole in your attic and direct the narrow end outside.

• Draw the squirrels out – Place some food near the narrow end of the funnel. Pieces of fruit or nuts will make for an appealing exit and draw the squirrels out.

Eventually the squirrels will make their way out. They need to leave your attic to gather food and creating a convenient food source for them will speed up their exit. Seal off the remaining hole as soon as the squirrels have vacated.
